Epic is committed to maintaining :
* Take the necessary measures to prevent injuries and ill health against all activities of the company.
* Accident prevention at all company sites.
* Take the necessary measures to prevent pollution and protect the environment from any effects that may result from the company’s activities.
* Compliance with Egyptian legal requirements and other requirements related to the environment, occupational health and safety.
* Making the policy available to interested parties.
Senior management believes that the above obligations must be fulfilled by establishing, implementing and maintaining:
* Specific, measurable goals, objectives and programs for all departments of the company and processes related to the integrated management system
* Performance measurements, monitoring, periodic review and analysis of the integrated management system to ensure its conformity, effectiveness and suitability.
* Measures for the Prevention of injuries and ill health protection of employees and their awareness of the environment, occupational health and safety.
Top management declares that it will take and support all actions that can make continuous improvement and this requires that all employees are aware of their roles and obligations in quality management systems, environmental and occupational health and safety.
CPD and staff development policy
It is EPIC policy to develop processes and procedures for training and development of all employees.
EPIC is fully committed to providing an average Of 6 days CPD / year / employee to realize the full potential of each individual.
All of our business processes are subject to measurement, analysis and improvement, and CPD is an integral part of that measurement and improvement cycle.
Overview:
In the above context, it is a corporate priority to develop all personnel in order to maximize team and individual contributions to EPIC objectives.
Managers are responsible for supporting the development of the people working for them, so that these individuals can acquire additional skills for their present positions and new skills for future opportunities within all department of EPIC.
Our aim is to:
Develop, motivate and retain our employees.
Provide skills for future innovation within the company.
Encourage staff in their quest for professional institute’s memberships.
Identification of continuing professional development needs:
Each individual will normally undergo a new employee orientation program within one month of the initial hiring date.
Each employee will participate in a personal performance review on an annual basis.
Each employee will be mentored or guided through their CPD plan by an assigned mentor who may be their manager or a suitable senior employee within their department.
It is the joint responsibility of both employee and mentor to record alt CPD record form. These records must be made available to HR for periodic review.
The HR department manages the allocation of training to individual members of staff.
The HR department manages the budget allocated to training which has been reviewed by the CPD committee and approved by the General Manager.
The management and effectiveness of the CPD training program will be reviewed at regular intervals by the CPD committee which has representatives from the top management, HR department, QA department and QS functions.
Formal CPD embraces both technical and non-technical learning opportunities and district from normal “on• the-job” learning.
Technical training will generally be directly related to the technology of the business.
